Wessex Water Foundation
The Wessex Water Foundation funds projects that strengthen communities and benefit the environment, while also providing local groups and charities with volunteering support.
It has never been more important to both respond to the needs of our communities and make a firm commitment to support them for the long-term future, and the Wessex Water Foundation allows us to do just that!
The Foundation was launched in 2020 in partnership with the Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset and Quartet Community Foundations, which help to ensure our funding goes towards the communities that are in most need of support.
Grants totalling £500,000 are distributed through two separate funding streams: The Community Fund and The Environment Fund.

The Community Fund
The Community Fund supports charitable activities that aim to build stronger communities and improve the lives of local people. In 2021, more than 60 groups benefited from £155,000 of funding from our Community Fund.
The Environment Fund
The Environment Fund supports green initiatives that aim to improve the environment and build more sustainable communities. In 2021, over 40 groups benefited from around £60,000 of funding from our Environment Fund.

Water Force volunteering
We offer support to communities across the south west through our Water Force volunteering programme.
All Wessex Water employees are given one volunteering day every year which they can use to support good causes close to their hearts.
We’re proud of the work we do to support our local communities and are keen to start working with more charities and organisations across the region.
