Dave

Deputy Team Leader

How long have you worked for Wessex Water?

'I started working for the company in January 2017, and almost three years later find myself as a trainer and a Deputy Team Leader within the Contact Centre in Nailsea.'

What attracted you to Wessex Water in the first place?

'What attracted me was hearing about how supportive everyone was. I really wanted to develop and enhance my skills, but the main thing is being surrounded by people who are happy to support you.'

What does your job entail and what do you most enjoy about the role?

'I deal with billing enquiries for Wessex Water customers. It’s very rewarding as our many customers can contact us on so many different customer contact channels, so I always strive to provide the best service on all these channels.

Tell me about your team and what you like most about working with your colleagues at Wessex Water?

'The enjoyable part is that life in the Contact Centre no two days are the same. It feels like one big family, everyone is so positive and helpful.'

Why do you think Wessex Water is a great place to work?

'Once you get the job you have training in our award-winning Academy, and the trainers are just so helpful and supported me all the way. Even once I started taking calls, there were trainers on hand providing help. It didn’t stop then as coaching is provided on a constant basis to enhance my development.'

What do you enjoy most when not working?

'Outside of work I do love playing football on a Saturday and watching Manchester United stress me out on a weekly basis! When I’m not doing either of those, I’m usually chasing my four nephews and niece around or watching crime documentaries on Netflix. I’m a bit of a foodie so find myself trying hidden gems in Bristol, if you bump into me please give me recommendations!'
