What is the Catchment Based Approach?
The Catchment Based Approach is a way of working at a river catchment scale to improve the water environment for wildlife and people.
By working together, the catchment partnerships aim to:
- share local knowledge and expertise
- identify the local challenges
- deliver cost-effective solutions with multiple benefits.
Our partnerships
There are four catchment partnerships in the region, which are Bristol Avon, Dorset, Hampshire Avon and Somerset.
We work with all of them, while also co-hosting the Bristol Avon Catchment Partnership and Dorset Catchment Partnerships.
